High End Holiday Glamour

We overcame Black Friday and Cyber Monday and are deep in the trenches of the holiday season. I put together a few outfit ideas hoping to inspire you not to go for a black sequin dress and gold shoes this year (even though there is nothing wrong with that)! I want everyone playing with color this holiday season.

Dress – Matthew Williamson $5,630
Shoes – Manolo Blahnik BB Suede 115mm Pump $595
Clutch – Hideout Bermuda Black Triangular Leather Clutch Bag $97

A Blue Sequin dress with feathers? When picking what color dress to rock this year look to the color wheel for help in choosing your accessories. Just like with makeup you need to choose complimentary colors for your shoes and clutches! Blue and pink go very well together. Also try to stay away from reds so you don’t seem overly patriotic. Another option is a bold purple or wine color. Trust me you are guaranteed to turn heads…

Dress – Notte by Marchesa Embroidered Lace Dress $815
Shoes – Christian Louboutin So Kate 120mm Leather Pumps $675
Clutch – Alexander McQueen ‘Skull Punk’ Clutch $3,267 (FARFETCH.COM)

Nothing says holiday season, like Red on Red! This is already a bold color so pair with neutrals like black, nude and metallics. When doing a monochromatic night look go for texture. Satins and in this case lace will add the necessary interest to a one color outfit. This piece can be worn all winter long. Maybe I will do a separate post showing you how! I went for black shoes and black nails to add more dimension to the outfit.

Dress – Lanvin Belted Draped Gown Out Of Stock
Shoes – Steve Madden Stecy $80
Clutch – Dawn Clutch Vince Camuto Black $290 (KURTGEIGER.COM)

This dress worn by Khloe Kardashian this year had to be a part of my Holiday Lookbook. The old Hollywood glam of the dress is so vintage and so me. Pair with big curls and pearls! Find a wrap dress with a satin finish that compliments your body shape. Wrap dresses are universally flattering when you find the right silhouette and length. The wine lip and nude heels just make the look complete.

Dress – Jean Paul Gaultier Long Dress $711
Shoes – Christian Louboutin Follies Resille 120 Metallic Leather and Fishnet Pumps $895 (net-a-porter.com)
Clutch – Alexander McQueen leather Fringe Skull Box Clutch
Earrings – Pre-Owned VIP Exception Earrings $175
Necklace – Vanessa Mooney Chantal Rosary Necklace $45

This green dress look was inspired by an episode of the show “Being Mary Jane”. Gabrielle Union had on a fabulous green dress and red lip look with jet black curls. I added a gold heel in my interpretation. Avoid looking like a Christmas tree and choose your shades wisely… Sometimes with the richer colors like red and green you want to simplify the look with a non color like black. If you get a green dress this season please tag me on your social walls! I would love to see how you style yours! (@thee_shopaholic on Instagram and @Shopaholic411 on Twitter)

Dress – Marchesa Satin Dress with Peplum in Black $1,975
Shoes – Christian Louboutin Allenissima $995
Earrings – Swarovski Bis Green Crystal Oval Stud Earrings $61

This look is for my shopaholics who aren’t so bold with their color choice this season. So here is an option that’s starts small. Pair your sleek head to toe black holiday dress and shoes with a bright pink lip and emerald earrings… We have to crawl before walking. Even if you don’t get your hands on a bright dress this winter incorporate color in your makeup or even nail polish. I can’t wait to see/read about what you ladies are wearing to parties this year! Use the hashtag #TheeShopaholicHolidayParty so I can see your posts!
