Ways to Wear Pink Tweed

I had the pleasure of going thrifting with a friend this past Tuesday. I HAD to stop into my favorite lower Manhattan thrift store “NoRelationVintage.” I tried on a million things but thankfully I only left with two. I purchased a fabulous pink tweed skirt and a purple marble pencil skirt. Today I will show you three ways I would wear the pink skirt.

One of my new rules for shopping in the new year is that I have to be able to style it in at least three different ways. I love buying unique pieces but to avoid one wear pieces that get stuck in my closet forever!!! I want to invest in multi use pieces only.

Turtleneck – HM
Necklace – ALDO
Boots – ZARA
Jacket – Forever 21

This first outfit can be worn on a date with your beaux or to a chic New York networking event. It’s classic it’s simple but it’s very current. Scandal has everyone drooling over white coats right now and lattice necklaces are on trend. Your bae will think your are so put together and meeting new people will be a breeze.

Denim Blouse – H&M
Grey Hat – H&M
Grey Boots – Missguided Alexia Cleated Sole
Silver Clutch – Loeffler Randall Lock Clutch

This outfit is casual chic. It is perfect for a Sunday brunch or girls night out. I kept the look extra simple but feel free to add a statement piece if the occasion permits. I let the skirt be the focal point and added interest with the cool grey and silver accessories. It’s understated but the boots and clutch are interesting enough to get you compliments from friends and strangers all night.

Coast Clancy Top – coast-stores.com
Blazer – Roberto Cavalli
Heels – Net-a-porter.com
Coat – Chicnova Fashion Pure Color Wollen Medium Style Overcoat
Earrings – Armitage Avenue Pearl Earring

This last look is ultra chic. This is great for the business woman who does not skimp on style. This look is great for a business meeting or board room presentation. Pink and blue are complementary colors that are easy on the eyes. But we keep the look serious with a smart black blazer. The blue heels accent the blue florals in or top and a chic wool coat ensures you will survive this harsh winter and turn heads at the same time.

I hope you ladies gained some inspiration from these three looks. I posted a fourth look on my Instagram. It was my outfit choice for Sarah Jessica Parker if she were to be invited to a winter AfroPunk fest. Be sure to check it out my Instagram is (@thee_shopaholic)

In the comments below be sure to tell me which look was your personal favorite or the one you would most like to recreate with pieces you already have.
